Impact Media & Events Corporation (IMEC) hosted a Canada India Education Conference at Pearson Convention Center in Brampton on Thursday, October 26. The 10.00 am to 4.00 pm event had 3 sessions, Breakfast, Lunch, Coffee Break, 10 Speakers, highly insightful presentations and engaging Q & A Sessions. 16 Colleges & Universities, 4 Banks, 4 Not for Profit Organizations, several prominent Education Consultants and other stakeholders, Consul General of India to Toronto and close to 190 people participated.
A first of it’s kind scholarship program between IMEC, Seneca Polytechnic, PPES Canada and Sunray Group was announced, wherein 6 underprivileged girls from Uttar Pradesh (India) will be welcomed to Canada, placed in a two-year course at Seneca and provided employment opportunities after completion of courses in their field of study. IMEC has been raising $ 50,000 every year at its Gala events for various Canadian Charities. Keeping up with the tradition, $ 10,000 were raised for Sunoh Canada, a Mississauga-based charity working on challenges faced by International Students in Canada.
